A work trip usually leaves a trail of folders: the tickets, the advance, the expense reports, the hotel contract. Each one is a different case file, with its own flow and number. Six months later nobody finds them together, because each title names something else.
In Praxis that grouping has a name: a subject.
A name for the set
The organization keeps the name: Trip to Buenos Aires, Campaign 2026, Acme contract. Anyone who opens a case file picks one that already exists. Names are not invented at every desk, so the vocabulary does not split into ten ways of saying the same thing.
A subject does not replace the case file or its title. It is there so you can bring them together when you need to: the trip is still ten case files, and they can be listed as one.
For the team, not for the street
The person waiting sees the status of their case. They do not see how the team groups the work on the inside. The subject is a tool for the organization: to find, to report, to keep the thread six months later.
When the trip is over, those case files are still together.
